Beavertail cactus are really blooming out now.
Redundant view, but I never get tired of it. I like to sit out there as the sun rises, and just look.
This is our adventure from Montana to Southern Nevada in our partially-completed camper-in-a-uhaul, Feb. to Apr, 2011. We hope to accomplish two things: 1) To show how people with almost no money beyond gas money can afford to "Snowbird" south in winter, and 2) to see if we can plan ahead for 2 to 3 months of food and other supplies, as an experimental bug-out. We will also try out some primitive methods of doing things, such as making charcoal, yucca soap, and flint knapping.
