After breakfast this day, we packed up and moved to a new campsite, as is shown further down on this blog. We moved to the Wildlife Management area two miles south of town. We got there around noon, parked and unloaded the bicycles and rode into town.
First stop was NAPA to pick up the new motorcycle tire, which was finally here!Steven ran a rope through it and looped it over his right shoulder. He let the tire rest on the rack behind the seat. I had both laptop computers strapped onto the rack on the back of my bike.
We rode about a block to the post office and picked up a package we'd been waiting for, sent from home and containing some important correspondence. Then we went to the library for a few hours. That's one of those days when the library WIFI was running poorly, which is the norm! Today it seems to be clicking right along! I might finish all my updates!
When we rode back to our new camp we took the dog for a walk and explored some of the dirt roads. They criss-cross all over, on thousands of acres. We're at the north end of Lake Mead and when it was at full pool, this area was a huge marsh. Now it just has scattered marshy area and they plant crops and run cattle on the dried out parts.
It was getting dark when we walked back to the uhaul.I think that's a Cottonwood tree against the sunset.
